This policy explains how Berndt Education collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use our website, contact us, book a consultation or sign up for updates. We are committed to handling your information lawfully, transparently and securely.

What data we collect
We only collect the information you choose to give us through the website:
- Contact & enquiry details — your name, email address and any message you send through our enquiry, level-test, or waitlist forms.
- Booking details — when you schedule a free consultation, our booking provider collects the information needed to arrange and confirm your appointment.
- Level-test responses — the self-assessment answers you tick, used only to estimate your language level and tailor your programme.
- Technical data — standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) generated automatically when any website is visited, and a single browser setting that remembers your chosen site language.
We do not knowingly collect special-category data, and we do not collect information from children under 16 without the involvement of a parent or guardian.
How and why we use it
- To respond to your enquiries and arrange free trials or consultations — on the basis of taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To provide the lessons, programmes and admissions support you ask us for — to perform our contract with you.
- To send you updates, such as Bea launch news, where you have asked to join a waitlist or newsletter — on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To keep the website secure and working properly, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations — on the basis of our legitimate interests and legal duties.
Service providers we work with
We use trusted third parties to run the website and our services. They process data only on our instructions, and may include providers for website hosting and form handling, appointment booking, email and newsletter delivery, and embedded content such as maps and videos. Some of these providers are based outside the European Economic Area; where that is the case, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses) to protect your data.
Pages on our site may include embedded content from third parties (for example map and video players). When you interact with that content, the relevant provider may receive your IP address and set its own cookies, governed by that provider's own privacy policy.
Cookies and similar technologies
Our own site uses only what is necessary to function, including a small browser setting that remembers your preferred language. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your personal data, to request a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw any consent you have given. To exercise any of these, email info@berndteducation.com and we will respond within the time the law allows. If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, aepd.es).
